Man, Oh Man!
Those muscles! That brooding glare! Gerard Butler is best known for bringing hunky back to Hollywood. This fall the great Scot flexes brawn and brain as producer and murderous star of Law Abiding Citizen
As I climb the subway stairs up to the street, Gerard Butler is suddenly and unexpectedly glaring at me from a full block away: dead-eyed, ominous, threatening. In the poster for Gamer, his futuristic mayhem-fest, Butler’s stare grimly dares all passersby to enter his menacing space. So it’s something of a relief that the man I meet a few minutes later in a downtown Manhattan hotel restaurant turns out to be a comfortably disheveled, jeans-and sneakered guy with a three-day growth who immediately welcomes you into his world, happily spinning fanciful stories of bygone days.
Butler tells stories as naturally as the rest of us breathe. And most of them seem to belong to nothing so much as, well, a Gerard Butler movie.
You did what?! You ran into the middle of a pub scrum to break up six guys who were stomping a guy on the floor? You rushed over to break up a broken-bottle bar fight between a couple of strangers? You saw a van with its tires on fire, grabbed an extinguisher from a nearby bus, dove under the car and put out the fire?

Gerard Butler Put Through His Paparazzi Paces
Gerard Butler Put Through His Paparazzi Paces
Gerard Butler is finding out just how tricky it can be to have a famous face — especially when Fashion Week and the VMA after parties combine in NYC: The actor got caught up in the massive crowds on 10th Ave. in the early morning hours as clubs Avenue and 1Oak were clearing out, and suffered the consequences.
“It was crazy last night,” Gerard was overheard saying today at Rebecca Minkoff’s show. “I was being chased by paparazzi and I got into a car to go home and then I was like, ‘This is the wrong car!’ ”
Gerard had nothing to fear, however, as the man behind the wheel was very accommodating of his situation.
“The driver was great. He just drove me down the block and my car came and met us and I switched,” explained Gerard. “It was like a military operation!”
Celebrity Pug Owners

Celebrity Pug Owners
Pugs may have lost some of their popularity with celebrities due to puggle-mania, but there are still quite a few stars who have opted for this breed. I’ve compiled a list with all kinds of famous pug owners. If you know more, feel free to leave a comment!
1. Jessica Alba – Named after the ill-fated punk couple, Jessica Alba’s pug darlings Sid & Nancy are an irresistible duo indeed.
2. Gerard Butler – You’d better not mess with Lolita, or else you’ll experience the wrath of Sparta! Gerard Butler and co-driver Lolita
3. Tori Spelling – Mimi La Rue used to be the World’s No.1. pug fashion trend-setter. She is sadly missed.
4. Valentino – Speaking of fashion, designer guru Valentino is crazy for pugs. He’s got five of them and they travel with him everywhere.
5. Goran Visnjic – The Croatian star of ER also has a pug buddy named Bugsy. They even posed together for a PETA campaign.
6. Hugh Laurie – Another doctor from the screen and another pug. Does anyone know more more about this cute little fellow? (I mean the pug, of course).

Gerry To Host Saturday Night Live!
Thanks to EriksWildfire for the heads up!
NBC has announced the hosts and musical guests for the season’s first four new episodes episodes of “Saturday Night Live.”
As has previously been revealed, Megan Fox will be hosting the 35th season’s premiere on Sept. 26, with a tiny Irish rock ensemble named U2 serving as musical guest. That’s a pretty big show, right?
How do you top it?
Well, realistically you don’t, but Ryan Reynolds will host the Oct. 3 episode. The star of “The Proposal” and the upcoming “Green Lantern” will do his best to avoid getting upstaged by Lady Gaga, who will be making her “SNL” debut as musical guest.
A more seasoned veteran will host the Oct. 10 episode, with Drew Barrymore returning for the sixth time. Barrymore, who first hosted at the age of seven back in 1982, will be promoting her feature directing debut, “Whip It,” which just happens to co-star “Saturday Night Live” regular Kristen Wiig. The musical guest that night will be Regina Spektor.
The streak of four season-opening new episodes concludes when Gerard Butler, always funnier than his movie roles have given him the chance to showcase, will host the Oct. 17 episode. Butler, promoting the release of “Law Abiding Citizen,” will be accompanied by Shakira.
